I have white pages in my files, is something wrong?
No, these white pages are there on purpose. They are in fact very useful, and provide better page turns if you print your music double sided (duplex)

No you don't; the Preview app that is standard on your Mac will do fine!
It is only a matter of taste which appearance you prefer.
However, if you have a copy of the Cello Library, you probably get more comfort with Adobe: there are a number of (older) files on this one, that show as miniatures, and there is some hassle in Preview zooming-in. Adobe just manages those files better.

I see strange characters instead of notes in one of the files
There are some files, that contain font sets, probably from Finale 2004 or earlier for Windows, that are not (or temporary not) installed on your computer. When this problem occurs again after restarting, please use AdobeReader to open these files and NOT any other PDF-viewer like Preview or PDFPen.
Does it work with Windows 98?
Yes! The only condition is that your computer can run AdobeReader 5 or higher. So even if you are still running Windows 98SE or Mac OS9 everything works fine (maybe a bit slow, but who cares ;-) To be sure: update/install Adobe and pick up a free sample

KBD = keyboard instrument like the cembalo (harpsichord), or possibly the baroque organ, clavichord -and even the early piano
PF = piano
Basso = Cello (bass line -lowest voice- played by the cello, and usually also a continuo line in baroque music; in classic-era, e.g., Haydn, refers to the cello; in orchestra music -where there are multiple strings on a part, refers to both cello and double bass)
BC = basso continuo =continuo (a bass line played by a cello and a kbd, with figures that indicate to the keyboardist the well-voiced 'harmonization' to be played by his right hand)
Op. = opus
Arr. = arranged for, or by (an arrangement SHOULD mean a significant modification/addition of many elements to the original piece)
Transc. = transcribed for (sometimes meaning only a key-change and/or octave transposition made)
Ed = edited, editor
pd = public domain
