Mea culpa!
19/06/09 20:58
Obviously I have done some bad research on copyright matters, and I am heartily ashamed!
Today, Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG. attended me on the fact that they are the owner of the worldwide copyright on one of the works I published on the Cello Library CD-rom:
György Ligeti: Sonate für Violoncello solo
I removed this work from my database and it will not make part of the Cello Library v4.02 as it is sold from now on.
I will pay the revenue I received on this work to Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG.
Further, Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG. brought to my attention, that the following works of Fritz Kreisler may have fallen into the public domain in the United States, but are fully protected by copyright laws outside the U.S.:
Toy Soldiers’ March
Rondino über ein Thema von Beethoven
Caprice Viennois, op. 2
Miniature Viennese March
Aucassin und Nicolette
Syncopation
Old Folks at Home
Liebesfreud
Liebesleid
Schön Rosmarin
This one puzzles me a bit, because I used the editions of Charles Foley aka Carl Fisher (proven public domain!), as the source for my Kreisler violin collections, and NOT any of the Schott editions.
But untill this matter is cleared with Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG. none of the products, nor samples, containing (parts of) these works will be available on this website or my eBay shop.
The collection „Klassische Manuskripte für Cello und Klavier” is discontinued, because this collection contained three af the above named titles that were derived from old (1912) Schott editions.
I will pay the revenue I received on these works to Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG.
If you are in need for any of the above named titles, you can buy them in the Schott webshop

I just added two compilations of Etudes -Studies- to the Presto collection:
-Dotzauer 113 Etudes for Cello (=all 4 volumes)
-Wohlfahrt 150 Studies for Violin (= 5 volumes)
These complete new files have the same unique feature as ALL the Presto compilations, you won’t find anywhere else:
They have a clickable Table of Contents for fast and easy navigation (check the 2 samples for its working)
So now you have no more excuses: even if you only are in need for a few studies, because your technical skills are already at a high level (or you hardly like etudes); it won’t cost you much to get them all, but you only have to print the ones you really need (or like).

Two new collections
07/02/09 17:02
Yesterday I started two new collections.
The first one is called Presto ThemePacks and will be a collection of compilations with a specific theme.
I think of Duets, Quartets, Studies, a specific Era or Composer and so on.
They are sold as digital downloads, with the motto buy-download-print-play! as a kind of iTunes for musical scores.
Now you understand the choise of the name Presto. They sell at a unit price of € 2,5
The first two items are added: 35 Duets for Violin and Cello and 46 Duets for Violin and Viola and free samples are available too.
The second one I called daCapo Free&Easy. As the name says: From the start!
It is a collection of easy pieces for students. Most of them are in 1st-3rd position. The first few works are already availabel.
